Update: Melissa has been found safe and well
AdvertisementPolice are searching for a Preston teenager who has not been seen since Wednesday.
Melissa Hughes, 16, was last seen leaving home on Gamull Lane in Ribbleton around 7pm.
Preston Police say they believe Hughes may still be within the Preston area but also has links with Blackpool and Lancaster.
She is white, 5 foot tall, slim, with blue eyes and short shoulder length blonde hair which has been dyed purple. Police believe she was wearing dark clothing and trainers.
PC Charlie Bamber of Preston Police said: “We are growing increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Melissa as she has been missing for nearly four days.
“We believe that Melissa could be with a friend and I would urge her if she sees this appeal to get in touch with us to let us know that she is safe.
“Anyone who thinks they may have seen Melissa, or who has information about her whereabouts, should get in touch with police on 101 as soon as they can.”
