Discount retailer Poundworld opens at Corporation Street

Another discount store has opened in Preston city centre.

Poundworld has opened its doors on the former Blockbuster store at the Corporation Street Retail Park.

It won planning permission to convert the vacant store and use part of it to sell food.

Blockbuster pulled out of the city in December last year when the chain entered administration.

Two other Poundworlds are already open in Preston, one in the St George’s Shopping Centre and another at Deepdale.
