Detailed plans for the next stage of development at a plot of land behind a Fulwood school have been lodged.
AdvertisementHollins Homes want to build 22 new properties behind the Our Lady and St Edwards Primary School.
The land off Eastway in Greyfriars ward sees a scaled back development from an original proposal to build 70 new homes.
Permission for 22 properties was allowed under appeal by the planning inspector after Preston City Council refused permission.
Councillors had voted in April 2013 to refuse the application saying it would place added pressure on the already congested Fulwood road network.
The planning inspector found at appeal that the improvements to the Broughton roundabout the forthcoming new roads to the west of Preston would ease congestion by the time the homes are built.
A road for the new homes to access the development would connect onto an existing roundabout on Eastway.
This development would form part of a larger development off Lightfoot Lane which is being campaigned against by local residents.
