Cuerden which sits at the junction of the M65 and the A6 has sat dormant for years – but now Lancashire County Council is targeting some of the £434 million City Deal at the site.

It requires significant private investment to create thousands of jobs in a new employment park and build new houses on the land between Bamber Bridge, Leyland and Preston.

South Ribble Borough Council are now consulting on the county council’s masterplan for the site.
