Car fire arson investigated in Ashton on Ribble

A suspected arson attack on a car in Ashton on Ribble is being investigated.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire crews to deal with the blaze on Stocks Road.

They arrived at 6.29pm on Friday to find the car well alight and one firefighter used breathing apparatus in tackling the fire.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation but a spokeswoman for the fire service said it was believed to be suspicious.
