The A59 at Bank Bridge fully re-opened on Thursday after emergency repairs.

Grade II listed, the bridge at Tarleton became a major congestion point as engineers worked to repair it after a vehicle crashed into it on Saturday.

All lanes are open in both directions and although peak-time traffic is still busy it is easing the commute for Preston drivers heading into the city or down to Southport and beyond.
