A tree has been cleared after it collapsed across a major road in and out of Preston city centre.

A 30 foot tree fell across Liverpool Road.

Access to Broadgate was closed and the tree had blocked three lanes.

No one was injured when the tree fell.

Preston Police were in attendance to divert traffic, and allowed cars to pass in single file.

The tree was removed around 9pm on Wednesday.
