Smoke machine triggers Evoque Preston evacuation

Crowds enjoying a night out inside Evoque
A smoke machine caused a Preston city centre nightclub to be evacuated.
AdvertisementHundreds of clubbers had to evacuate the dance floor at Evoque Preston around 2am on Sunday.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called but said it was the DJs smoke machine which triggered the alarm.
A spokeswoman said: “There were quite a lot of people outside on the street when we arrived. The club did the right thing and got everyone out as a precaution.”
