Major investment in Preston Bus Station is due to be revealed in early November.

Lancashire County Council’s cabinet is to discuss a report setting out “a series of proposals necessary to support improvements to Preston Bus Station”.

The building was transferred from Preston City Council ownership to County Hall in May for £1.

Up to £8.3 million is understood to be set aside by the county council for revamping the Bus Station.

Now grade II listed any improvements will need to ensure the character of the building is kept intact.

The county council’s cabinet is due to meet on Thursday 6 November where it will discuss the report and decide whether to go ahead with the revamping.
