Delays on a main road out of the East side of Preston are continuing due to flooding.

Longridge Road in Grimsargh was flooded from around 9pm on Tuesday.

Roadworks on the M6 are contributing to extremely heavy traffic in the North and North East of Preston.

Roman Way heading out of Ribbleton was stacked up from 5pm on Wednesday as people tried to turn onto Longridge Road.

There is very slow traffic on the M6 southbound from Junction 32 through to Junction 31.

On Tuesday evening motorists reported up to an hour delay as they attempted to get out of areas such as Fulwood and onto the motorway network.

In the city centre reports indicate Ringway and Fishergate are also backed up with heavy traffic.
