Next stage for plans to build 64 new homes in Grimsargh

Unused fields in Grimsargh could be turned into new homes if a planning application is given the green light

Green fields near Grimsargh will disappear as new homes are built

Detailed plans in the next stage of development in Grimsargh have been submitted.

Proposals for 64 new homes off Ribblesdale Drive were approved after a planning appeal by the developer Wainhomes.

A reserved matters planning application has now been submitted which gives details of the type of houses to be built.

The original application faced fierce opposition from Grimsargh Parish Council and local residents.

But a planning inspector said the area of separation between Grimsargh and Preston wasn’t threatened by the new homes.

The full plans are available to view on the Preston City Council website.
