A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries are a horror accident at Hoghton on Saturday.
The 29 year old man was left with serious injuries to his left leg, a broken foot and lacerated liver.
Police closed Blackburn Old Road near Hoghton Tower in the direction of Riley Green for nearly four hours after the crash.
The man, from Withnell, is believed to have come off his bike and slid along the pavement.
It took place on Saturday 18 October around 10.35pm
Sergeant Young from the Lancashire Police road policing unit said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the motorbike in the area prior to the incident or who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch and help us with our enquiries.”
