A Preston building is to be transformed into something out of Judge Dredd for a special screening of the film.
AdvertisementAs part of the Future Preston Tours sci-fi fans are being invited to join other citizens in heading for Winckley House on Saturday 25 October.
Dredd, the 2012 film, is to be shown on a big screen within the venue which is being transformed into mega-block Peach Trees from the movie.
Mega City One Judges are collecting those taking part from the Guild Hall at 5.30pm and taking them across to Winckley House at the corner of Cross Street and Winckley Square.
John Robb, journalist and former frontman of punk bands Goldblade and the Membranes, hosts the event – which includes a conservation with John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra who co-created Judge Dredd in 1977.
Food on the night comes from the Hot Potato Tram which serves Dredd Burgers and Slo-Mo Spuds.
Dredd is the second in the Future City Tours, which sees four sci-fi film screenings at various venues across Preston city centre.
Tickets are £10 for adults but groups of 10 can get tickets for £9 each. All tickets via Skiddle.
The film and events are 18+.
