A village on the outskirts of Preston is celebrating being one of the best kept in the county.
Grimsargh came second in the large village category of the Best Kept Village competition.
The Parish Council will receive the Hambleton Shield which is to be displayed in the village.
Sue Whittam, clerk to the Parish council, said: “We were delighted to find out that we had achieved runner up status in the large village category of the Lancashire Best Kept Village Competition.
“It just shows what we can achieve when we all work together to make our village a beautiful place to live. We look forward to receiving the Hambleton Shield and putting it on display in the village.”
