Writers across Preston are being asked to join a publishing meet and greet in the city.
The North West Writers meet and freet takes place at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery on Wednesday.
Organised by the Double Negative Magazine it gives journalists, bloggers, authors or publications the chance to mingle and network.
Susie Stubbs, who helped bring the event to Preston, said: “The meet and greets have so far been a brilliant way to meet new contributors, find out what’s happening in writing and, for us, they really do help support the online writing community in the region.
“It’s not just about Manchester, or Liverpool – it’s about the whole of the North-West. Preston is a city we’ve worked in and love – we can’t wait to meet some of the writers based there.”
Complimentary drinks are provided and there will be information on key writing projects in the North West and funding opportunities.
It is free to attend and runs from 6pm to 9pm.
Registration is via Eventbrite.
