One of Preston’s most popular beer festivals returns to the city in October.

It will be the 13th time The Continental on South Meadow Lane, Broadgate, has thrown open its doors for the event.

More than 200 beers and ciders will be on the menu.

Alongside the ale there are live bands, DJs and the smokehouse BBQ flavours of The Ferret are making their way towards the river.

A statement from the pub said: “The 12th Festival this May saw a huge expansion of the event, with twice as many beers on offer at twice as many service points, meaning that long, draggy queues are now a thing of the past. Hurrah!”

The beer festival runs from Thursday 2 October, starting at 5pm, through to Saturday 4 October.

More information can be found on the Facebook page for the event.
