Survive the 5 to replace Beat the Frog and debut at Blitz

Survive the 5 will rise from the ashes of Beat the Frog.

Beat the Frog was an amateur competition at the now closed Frog & Bucket.

Survive the 5 will instead take place at Blitz Nightclub every Sunday from October 5.

The event is organised by Freddy Quinne and Preston entertainer of the year Dan Nightingale.

Amateur performers will have to survive five minutes on stage without being gonged off. It’s a great opportunity for new performers to test out material on a crowd.

The first line-up will include  a multi award-winning new comic who won the Frog and Bucket World Series in 2012, and a BBC New Comedy Award Finalist.

Frog and Bucket nights were recently confirmed to continue in a new home at The Guild Hall, now owned by Simon Rigby.
