Ribble Steam Railway runs around Preston’s Docklands
Steam trains are to run around Preston Docks to mark 50 years since a Preston rail line closed.
A railway line used to run from Preston to Southport, the West Lancashire line, but was closed during the Beeching cutbacks.
The Ribble Steam Railway Museum is running an event to commemorate when the line was shut.
An L&Y Aspinall 1300/1896, currently based at Embsay, will be the guest locomotive for Saturday and Sunday.

A visit to the steam railway museum and unlimited rides on the engines is £7 for adults and £4.50 for children. A family ticket is £20.
The event runs on Saturday 6 September and Sunday 7 September.
