As part of the events and activities in Preston for the Heritage weekend, Paul Melling went down to the Flag Market to see the action there on Saturday.
First World War uniforms and the sound of horses hooves on flag stones returned to Preston’s Flag Market this weekend as members of the Lancashire Hussars re-enactment group went on parade.  The group is based on a territorial yeomanry unit whose men and horses served in the war. The event was part of the Preston Remembers project which began with the restoration of the Cenotaph last year.
