Preston Mela is seeking a new trustee to help it put on its annual Asian festival.

The event, which promotes Asian culture and arts in the city, wants someone new to join it team.

The Mela has been running for more than 15 years in the city, and needs someone willing to put in 200 hours a year in a voluntary role.

An advert from the board of trustees states: “If you have skills in the arts development, event organisation, marketing/promotion or general business skills and would like the opportunity to use your skills to support this event in its next stage of development then the board would like to hear from you.”

Anyone wishing to apply should call Eric Hughes on 01772 450 847 for more information.
