POLICE are appealing for information after a collision on Moor Lane in Preston.
A 22 year old man from Preston was crossing the zebra crossing on Moor Lane with a friend when he was involved in a collision with a blue Ford Focus travelling towards the A6.
The collision happened at about 9.15pm.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to hospital suffering from a broken eye socket and cheek bone and a collapsed lung. The injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police launched an investigation and a Ford Focus was traced to an address in Leyland where three people were arrested.
They are a 32 year old man from Leyland arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after an accident and failing to provide a specimen; a 29 year old woman from Leyland arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop and a 43 year old man from Leyland arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. They are all currently in custody.
Sgt Finn Quainton, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw this collision or the Ford Focus in the moments before to contact us.”
