The return of a historic pub on Friargate to become a new drinking den has moved a step closer.
AdvertisementPlau on Friargate wants to be the first gin bar in Preston on the site of the former Plough Inn.
The brainchild of Jeremy Rowlands and Rebecca Scott, they say it will have nods to the history of the original Plough Inn which stood on the street for hundreds of years.
A licensing application has been lodged which would allow Plau to serve booze from 10am to midnight seven days a week.
They have also asked for an additional hour on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday weekends.
Anyone wishing to comment on the licence request must do so by Monday 6 October to licensing@preston.gov.uk
