A new cafe has opened within an outdoors store in Deepdale.

The Interesting Eating Company, which started in Liverpool, are the cafe within Ultimate Outdoors at Deepdale Retail and Shopping Park.

The independent coffee chain serves pancakes, freshly made soups and handmade Italian ice cream.

Founders Nichola Lee and Andrea Edwards have picked Preston as the place to open their second eatery.

Nichola said: “We are thrilled to be working together with such a prominent UK retailer. Our original plans for a company expansion were to step up from the suburban high street and open up a city centre venture.

“However, we reviewed our strategy and decided to approach Ultimate Outdoors, as they were planning the launch of their new store concept and wanted a coffee shop. We beat off stiff competition from national brands and secured the contract.”

Andrea said: “We are experts at creating business events and our great location makes a refreshing alternative to city centre venues. We will arrange everything to make each event very successful and memorable.

“Our flexibility enables businesses to opt for early morning breakfast meetings, at a time that suits them best or evening functions that are ideal for launch and networking events.”
