Police officers raid a house in Preston on Wednesday morning
Seven men and woman have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug dealing in the city.
Police raided addresses across Preston, Penwortham and Bamber Bridge on Wednesday.
The arrests are part of Operation Nemesis, aimed at clamping down on serious organised crime in the city.
Warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act at addresses in Kingsfold Drive in Penwortham, as well as Henderson Street, Wolseley Road, Avenham Terrace, Derby Square, Cemetery Road, Plungington Road and Wolseley Place in Preston. A further address on Walnutwood Avenue in Bamber Bridge was also raided.
Those arrested are:
A 27-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of two counts of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- cocaine and two money laundering offences.
A 26-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β heroin, conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class B β cannabis resin, conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β cocaine and two money laundering offences.
A 21-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β heroin, conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β cocaine and two money laundering offences.
A 45-year-old woman from Preston on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β heroin, conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug β cocaine, and two money laundering offences.
An 18-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- cocaine, conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- heroin and two money laundering offences.
A 22-year-old man from Bamber Bridge on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- cocaine, conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- heroin and two money laundering offences.
A 16-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of two counts of conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug- cocaine and two money laundering offences.
DI Kevin McLean said: “These arrests are as a result of an operation that has been on-going for a number of months and are part of Operation Nemesisβ commitment to tackle organised crime within Lancashire.
“The activities of these individuals have a dramatic effect on our communities, and we are determined to tackle them head on.
“Local residents have played an integral part by raising their concerns about drug dealing in Preston. We have listened to those concerns and taken decisive action against those believed to be responsible.
“We need the public to continue to help us and pass on any information relating to suspicious activity.”
