Hundreds of people joined a celebration of Preston’s diversity on the Flag Market on Saturday.

Photographer William Matthews captured the colourful characters who entertained during an afternoon of music and entertainment for Preston Pride.

The one day festival brings together the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in Preston.

It was marred by homophobic leaflets handed out before and after the event, which has seen Lancashire Police not taking action.

Performers at the event took to a stage on the Flag Market including Coco Malone and Vixen Miss Eva Fox.

An after party was held at Evoque Preston.
