A Preston pub which has stood since the early Victorian period is to be converted into two homes.
AdvertisementThe Royal Garrison pub on Sir Tom Finney Way, Garrison, has stood empty for a number of years.
Now a Deepdale property developer has tabled plans to convert the pub and offices above it into two new properties.
A former favourite of soldiers at the nearby Watling Street Road barracks the pub sits within the Fulwood Conservation Area.
Plans submitted by Homeplan4u on behalf of Mr Ali Shan state: “The use of the property will be changed for its continued use for a purpose sympathetic to its conversion.
“The property’s current poor condition will be improved as to undergo a thorough refurbishment due to the course of the conversion.”
