A late-night restaurant could open in a former Preston pub.

The Fox and Grapes on Ribbleton Lane, St Matthews, is being renovated to turn the first floor into a flat.

The cafe-restaurant is to be in the downstairs and open from 12noon to 2am every day.

The pub pulled its last pint in February last year.

Homeplan4u have submitted plans on behalf of owner Mr Akhtar.

The full plans can be seen on the Preston City Council website.
