Hidden in a walled garden in Ashton Park in Preston is the Dig In North West organisation; it is a place of sanctuary for military veterans to be able enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the garden and do some gardening or maybe a little photography or just chat and share experiences with others. Either way, the garden is a wonderful place to be for those involved with the military and is spearheaded by Donna Rowe Green.
AdvertisementDig In, a non-profit organisation, is entirely supported by financial grants and donations and one of the fund raising efforts has been the very successful ‘Picnic Quiz Nights’ held at Grimsargh Village Hall. This week, on Friday 12 September, Dig In will host yet another fabulous quiz night to help to raise funds. The idea is that you take your own picnic or order a takeaway meal to be delivered on the night.
This Friday’s quiz will be, as usual, set up for teams of six people and a small prize will be given to the one’s who can come up with the wittiest name for their team. A bit of a heads-up for the quiz theme on Friday is …What do you remember about 2012?
In the past, other quizzes have involved ‘Forrero Rocher challenges’ and ‘jelly bean taste test rounds’; it all sounds like plenty of fun for all the family to enjoy.
Don’t forget, everyone is welcome to join the quiz and admission is £3 each.
Please be there for 7.30 pm for an 8.00 pm start.
To keep up-to-date with what’s going on, Dig In also have a Facebook page.
