A one-day writing festival is coming to a pub and venue in Preston.
The Continental hosts the Word Festival on Saturday 20 September.
It brings together talks from a number of authors who will offer their advice and insight into their work.
On the line-up is one of the best selling young adult writers Joseph Delaney who is author of the Spooks Series.
Conrad Jones who has a best-selling thriller which he self-published.
He’s joined by Robin Jones who founded independent publishers Unthank Books.
Travel writer Alan Whelan is also to talk who has just returned from adventuring around Africa.
Tickets are £20 and include a hot lunch and refreshments.
It runs from 9.15am to 5pm.
The event is run by the Lancashire Word writing group a non-profit organisation.
