Crowds filling the Lancashire Market on Friargate

A busy weekend of events in Preston are set for fair weather.

The current forecast predicts temperatures of 16 degrees throughout Saturday 16 August, and while it will be cloudy there is not predicted to be any rain.

Events on in the city include the Lancashire Market which takes over Friargate with tens of stalls.

The stalls sell a variety of local produce and tens of thousands of visitors are expected.

Elsewhere in the city there are classic cars on Miller Park, a Pop Up arts market on the Flag Market, K-Stock Festival at Korova Arts Cafe & Bar and the Love Food, Love Preston events continue.

Sunday is meant to see some rain arriving in Preston.
