A vintage building for a vintage event

Vintage fashion lovers are invited to the Harris Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday.

Stalls are set to line the museums halls for the Vintage Harris event.

Alongside a number of stalls selling clothing, crafts and furniture there are also drop-in workshops to learn how to do it yourself.

Live musical performances are also on the line up, plus the chance to find out about a history of men’s suits.

The full line up for the workshops are:

12pm to 1pm: Drop in craft sessions, suitable for all ages on how to make rose brooches and hairclips

12pm to 12.40pm: A chance to explore the jewellery collection of the Harris up close

2pm to 3pm: Drop-in craft sessions on how to make brooches and hairclips

3pm to 3.40pm: A talk on men’s fashion from the 1930s to the 1970s

All afternoon there will be music from Leading Notes, while the aptly named Caroline Preston will share a history of glamarous vintage powder compacts.
