A Fulwood man is preparing to complete a charity skydive to raise money for charity.
AdvertisementDimal Patel will leap from 10,000 feet on Friday to raise cash for the Ronald McDonald House charity in Manchester.
The charity provides home away from home accommodation for families with children receiving treatment at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
In May the Patel family raised money for the charity with Tia, 5, doing a 2km fun run in Manchester.
Tia’s father Dimal Patel says: “I’m really proud with what Tia has done for the charity, and I felt that I needed to contribute in her efforts, this is when she came up with this “2 mile challenge”.
“Other people have been so supportive and impressed that she wants to support a fantastic charity at such a young age. Tia is an energetic, sporty girl and this skydive jump for me is a great opportunity to be able to tick off my bucket list, as well as raise money for such a fantastic charity.”
£200 has already been pledged as Dimal hopes to make it £500 by the time of the jump.
