The club on Church Street has branched out from the usual drinks and tunes to take in wrestling, boxing and salsa events.
It is home to the fast-growing Preston City Wrestling who perform in the venue.
Radio 1 Extra DJs Mistajam and CJ Beatz are to perform for Evoque’s first birthday party.
Venue business development manager Luke Maher said: “How quickly a year goes by. We are pulling out all the stops to celebrate our first birthday.
“Since relaunch we have incorporated wrestling, boxing and salsa events at a weekend showcasing the venue as much more than just a nightclub.”
Saturday 30 August from 10.30pm is the birthday event, and the venue is also gearing up to host a number of events for freshers starting at UCLan from mid-September.
Before becoming Evoque the venue has gone by many names, including Tokyo Jo’s and many more. You might want to take a trip down memory lane with Paul Swarbrick’s piece remembering Preston’s former nightclubs.
