Pictures have been released by police in a bid to trace a man wanted for robberies in Preston.
AdvertisementPeter James Thomas, 27, is wanted by Lancashire Police in connection with two attempted robberies in the city.
He is also believed to have committed two robberies in Blackpool and further robbies in the Greater Manchester area.
Around 9.30pm on Saturday 23 August Thomas is said to have entered the Spar supermarket on Water Lane, Ashton-on-Ribble, and demanded money but left empty handed.
Shortly after a man fitting his description entered the KFC on Fishergate and made threats, but again left empty happened.
On Friday 22 August a man fitting Thomas’ descroption had stolen £800 from a Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Blackpool.
Sgt Mark Dickinson, of Blackpool CID, said: “We believe the same man is responsible for these offences and we would like to trace and speak to Peter James Thomas. I would appeal to anyone who sees him or knows where he might be to get in touch with us.”
Enquiries are underway to trace Thomas and officers are warning members of the public not to approach him but to contact police if they see him or have information on his whereabouts.
