More raids have been carried out across Preston as police continue their crackdown on drug dealing in the city.
Four men were arrested as police smashed in doors on residential streets in Brookfield and Fishwick.
Those arrested during Wednesday’s raids are:
A 28 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of possessing heroin with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
A 22 year old man of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of four counts of supplying heroin and being concerned in the supply of heroin.
A 21 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin, possessing heroin with intent to supply and possessing cannabis.
A 38 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin with intent to supply.
Wednesday’s raids follow Monday and Tuesday when a number of Preston men and women were arrested on suspicion of being part of a drugs gang.
Lancashire Police have now charged a number of people in relation to the supply of heroin following Tuesday’s raids, when £50,000 cash and a quantity of heroin was found.
Mohammed Beg, 27, of Raikes Road, Preston, has been charged with four counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Hiren Vaghela, 29, of Marsh Lane, Preston, has been charged with two counts of supplying heroin, being concerned in the supply of heroin and offering to supply heroin.
Ismail Patel, 53, of Ribbleton Lane, Preston, has been charged with two counts of supplying heroin, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possessing heroin with intent to supply, possessing cannabis and money laundering.
Sharifa Patel, 47, of Ribbleton Lane, Preston, has been charged with five counts of supplying heroin, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possessing heroin with intent to supply, possessing cannabis and money laundering.
Samir Patel, 24, of St Thomas Road, Preston, has been charged with five counts of supplying heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
Detective Inspector Warren Atkinson said: “Operation Nemesis has been set up to deal with organised crime groups causing serious anti-social behaviour and disruption to local neighbourhoods.
“This week’s warrants are as a result of information which has been passed to us by local communities and we would urge people to continue to come forward and speak to us about crime in their area.”
