The new system has totally secure lockers, similar to the one installed at Morrisons supermarket at Ashton-on-Ribble. You can drop your parcel off 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

InPost is the largest global operator of 24/7 parcel lockers, and secured an agreement with Morrisons Supermarket to host parcel lockers across the UK.

To use the ‘click and collect’ network you need to register for an account, enter funds for the correct balance to pay for the parcel and print a label.

Visit any InPost locker and use the touchscreen to select ‘Send a parcel’ and follow the simple onscreen instructions. You can also use your details to receive parcels from the unit.

You can place orders online from a number of different retailers and can pick up orders from a local site, at a time that suits you.

The InPost collection and delivery service is for busy shoppers who don’t have time to wait in for a traditional delivery. Local shoppers can collect or return parcels at any time of the day or night.

The company behind InPost intend to have 1,500 collection points throughout the UK, and signed an agreement with Morrisons, which operates a total of over 500 Superstores around the country.

Lorna Mushing, Estates Manager at InPost, commented: “Morrisons is a trusted brand in the UK and we are delighted to be working alongside the property team to develop the locker locations at such an established, forward-thinking company.

“It’s been extremely heartening to see the e-commerce, retail and logistics sectors embracing our unique, robust and highly secure facilities. The lockers deliver real added-value to our client partners and host sites and InPost now boasts close to 1,000 collection points across the UK, since the company’s launch in April 2013. The company has seen rapid growth and is now the largest network of its kind in the UK and this partnership with Morrisons will help to further increase the pace of our expansion.”

InPost units can also be found at 556 New Hall Lane, 834 Blackpool Road and at Victoria Road in Walton-Le-Dale.
