Two more Preston men have been arrested in the investigation into the murder of a teenager.
AdvertisementPolice are investigating the murder of Jonjo Highton in Deepdale on Saturday night.
The 18 year old was stabbed to death on St Stephen’s Road at around 11.20pm on Saturday 23 August.
A 19 year old man is being held by police on suspicion of murder.
Now Preston Police have arrested two 21 year olds from Preston on suspicion of murder.
Police are appealing for information as they believe several people were involved in the attack.
A post mortem examination has confirmed Highton died as a result of a wound to the neck caused by a blade.
He also suffered a number of other injuries caused by the blade.
Det Supt Eddie Thistlethwaite, said: “This young man suffered a brutal attack. I believe there were a number of people involved and we are working hard to identify the offenders.
“I would appeal for anyone with any information, however unimportant they feel it may be, to get in touch with us.”
Friends and relatives have been laying flowers and leaving messages at the spot where Jonjo died.
Extra police patrols have been put in place on St Stephen’s Road and the surrounding streets.
It is believed Jonjo was attacked last year in the Deepdale area with a machete in an attack which saw two men jailed.
