Preston North End star Joe Garner has agreed a new two-year deal at the club.

The deal should see him play at Deepdale until 2016.

Garner, who scored a wonder goal in the play-off final last year, has been in long negotiations over a new contract all summer.

The news will come as a huge relief to PNE fans who were worried that their star man might leave the club.

Joe Garner, a life-long PNE supporter, has started the season in good form, scoring three goals in his first two league games.

If he continues this form, he is likely to be targetted by clubs in the Championship in the January transfer window.
