Nightclub Evoque and the new owners of Preston Guild Hall have both offered to see if the Frog’s comedy nights can be kept in the city.
Evoque business development mnanager Luke Maher said: “We are currently also in talks with Jessica from the Frog and Bucket to see if we can give it a new home and keep the entertainment in Preston. The level of investment to keep the nightlife varied for both young and mature audiences will continue.”
Richard Simkin, due to be operations manager at the Guild Hall, has tweeted to say they are also looking at working with the Frog and Bucket team.
Last Wednesday it was announced the comedy venue was to close after five years.
A statement from the club’s management said: “It’s with massive regret that we are leaving Preston, it’s been a great city to work in and the audiences have been the most fun. It’s an honour to Preston that it’s perceived by comics as one of the best rooms in the country to play. It will be really missed, but it’s time to move on.”
