A new housing development could be built on land which used to be a garden centre in Fulwood.
AdvertisementEastway Nurseries has closed and outline plans have been tabled by Ribble Homes to create 13 homes on the site in the Garrison ward.
The land which stretches from Eastway around the back of Coniston Drive is currently unused.
The properties would be four and five bedroom detached houses with their own private gardens and parking spaces.
Garrison councillor Charlotte Leach said: “In theory I support building on the site.
“However, as the application was only received on August 4, it is too early for residents to have been fully consulted and therefore unlikely that they will have had the opportunity to develop an informed opinion.
“As of yet I have not been contacted about this issue and my colleagues and I intend on gauging residents’ opinions before we make any further comments.”
The full plans are available to view on the Preston City Council website.
