Offices which have stood empty in the centre of Preston could become new homes.
AdvertisementSeven one and two bedroom flats could be created in Midland Court, Church Street.
The office block, which sits next to The Lamb Hotel, has not seen any interest as it has stood empty for four years.
A statement from Steven Allcock Consulting who have submitted the reports to the city council said: “The proposal therefore seeks to utilise a redundant building in the city centre occupying a highly sustainable location, bringing back into use a prominent building and utilising in an efficient manner.
“This re-use of the building will be a benefit to the community and allow the building to be actively used in the future in a sustainable way.”
Developer David Yual has tabled the plans, which do not include any parking spaces.
