Apart from the Lancashire Market in Friargate this weekend there are two farmers markets taking place, one in Ashton on Ribble, with another in Penwortham and if good market farm produce is your sort of thing then you need look no further.

These markets provide an opportunity for people to buy fresh, local produce twice a month and what’s more, all the year round.

The Ashton on Ribble farmers market is held from 9am – 1pm on the third Saturday of each month at St Michael’s Church Hall, Tulketh Road, Ashton On Ribble, Preston. PR2 1AJ Tel: 01772 827 835
