A fast food outlet in the centre of Preston is to reopen after a change of owners and a complete refurbishment.
Roosterz, on Church Street next to Yates, replaces a previous chicken shop called Gourmet.
Gourmet was closed down earlier this year after Environmental Health Inspectors found a leaking gas pipe at the establishment.
The inspectors were originally called in after a businessman in an office above the shop reportedly discovered a cockroach.
The chicken outlet had been served with a hygiene improvement notice the previous year and had been the subject of complaints due to fatty odours and greasy smells.
The location was formally home to Papa’s Chicken and Dixi Plus, which got into trouble after breaching its licensing hours. Read our previous report here.
The brand new Roosterz, which is not connected to Gourmet, is offering a free chicken wings with all orders over £5 as part of its opening celebration.
