Bus fares rise in Preston and beyond from Sunday on any Lancashire County Council subsidised services.
The inflation-matching rises are on average an extra 1.7% on the fare.
This equates to an extra 5p for journeys which cost less than £4 and an extra 10p for journeys costing more than £4.
There are no changes to weekly ticket prices.
The rise follows a review in Februry when the county council u-turned on a plan to cutback evening and weekend services in and around Preston.
Originally a swathe of routes would see earlier last bus times, but following strong opposition the plan was taken back to the drawing board.
