A chance today to understand more about the Re-Set, a campaign to restore the role of local communities enabling them to govern themselves.
Members of the campaign are at meeting at Roper Hall on Friargate in the city and invite the public to go along and listen to their message.
Re-Set is calling for a referendum asking for the abolition of all existing taxes and wants to introduce a 1% levy on all transactions made.
They want to provide a fairer system for all by including all corporations and banking transactions in the deal.
Their mission statement says they want a constitutional re-set to re-store fair principles, accountability, community led governance and ethics. Ensuring peoplecare, earthcare and fairshare for the benefit of all.
The Re-Set will introduce a new fair way of raising revenue. It will re-store economic and social prosperity for all, and allow the constitutional framework to grow, revitalising all communities.
Amongst their proposals are the abolition of student fees and debts, restore Grand Juries, not to engage in armed conflicts abroad, have a National Grand Jury on “EU Membership” and introduce a national income for all.
