Today at 4pm a march and rally in support of Gaza will be held on the Flag Market in Preston.

This will be the second peaceful protest held in the city against the ongoing military attacks on Gaza.

The event is one of a number taking place on the same day throughout the country.

Campaigners will gather on the Flag Market at around 4pm for a rally after a march through the streets.

The rally follows a mass demonstration in Preston this week as the Palestinian flag briefly flew over Preston Town Hall.

Preston City Council raised the Palestinian flag over the Town Hall entrance in a show of solidarity with the people of Gaza but removed it soon after.
