The empty plot of land on Rowan Avenue
An area of unused land in the heart of Ribbleton could be turned into four community homes.
A patch of land which used to be home to some garages has seen plans submitted by Community Gateway Housing to build four two bedroom homes.
The land, approximately 595 square metres, borders Rowan Avenue and backs onto The Grange primary school play ground.
A statement from Community Gateway said: “There is an excellent opportunity to make best use of an under-utilised brownfield site, in a sustainable location and build much needed new residential accommodation in keeping with and contributing towards the sustainable viability of the area.”

Gateway propose to provide a car parking space for each property.
A consultation with neighbouring properties is due to take place.
