Protesters called for an end to the worsening situation in the Middle East and held a rally on the Flag Market.

It followed a march on Saturday 12 July held by charity Children of the Ghetto who also called for the Palestinian flag to be raised above Preston’s Town Hall.

On Friday there was a u-turn by the city council who raised the Palestinian flag above the Town Hall only to then say they would be replacing it with a peace flag.

Local photographer John Newsham snapped some pictures from Saturday’s march.
