HMS Charger makes its way through into the Dock

Preston’s adopted Royal Navy ship the HMS Charger has settled into its berth on Preston Marina.

The docks will be home to the vessel until mid-day on Monday.

The city adopted the boat as part of the Preston Guild celebrations and it makes regular visits back to Preston Dock.

John Charnley snapped these pictures as the it made its way through the swing bridge – with Guild Wheel cyclists on either side waiting to cross.
