Festival for young people to be held at parks across Preston

Moor Park to host the final of the Park It events

Preston’s parks are to play host to a range of different activities during the summer holidays.

Branded Park It the festivals include bubble football, inflatable penalty shoot-out and a silent disco.

Four parks are holding the events during the course of the week.

Mayor of Preston, councillor Nick Pomfret, said: “It is great to see yet again the partners of Preston working together to give young people somewhere to go and enjoy activities safely on a Friday night in the school holidays.”

All the park days are held in the evenings, running from 5pm to 8pm and are free to attend.

Ribbleton Park starts the events on Friday 1 August, Dovedale Park in Ingol on Friday 8 August, Ashton Park on Friday 15 August and finishing at Moor Park Friday 29 August.

It is the fifth year the events have run and are organised by a range of different organisations across the city.
